Discipline VS Motivation
In this episode, we explore the power of motivation and discipline in achieving our goals. We all have different motivations that drive us to take action, whether it's the desire to achieve a specific goal or the fear of negative consequences. Personally, I find motivation in wanting to finish my house and avoiding the risk of losing it due to my mortgage.
I believe it's important to constantly ask ourselves what our motivation is, to dig deep and find that burning desire that propels us forward. But here's the thing, motivation can be fickle. Some days, it's easy to find that fire within us, while other days, it seems to be nowhere in sight. That's when discipline comes into play.
Discipline is the backbone that keeps us going when motivation fails us. It's the ability to stick to our routines and commitments, even when we don't feel like it. I won't lie, I struggle with discipline myself. It's not always easy to get up early, hit the gym, or sit down and work on a project when Netflix is calling our name. But discipline is what separates the dreamers from the achievers.
If we want to be successful and live a better life, we need to build our discipline muscle. We need to show up every day, put in the work, and stay committed to our goals. It's not always glamorous or exciting, but it's necessary. And the more we practice discipline, the easier it becomes.
So, my plea to you is this: do good work. Motivation may come and go, but discipline is what will carry you through. Push through the resistance, build your discipline muscle, and watch as your dreams become a reality. Let's make today count and create a better tomorrow.
