Episode 213
One Step at a Time: Learn, then DO
In this episode, I share my recent transition from the construction field into marketing and coaching. I've taken on my friend's mini barn business as one of my first clients, and it has been quite the interesting experience. While I have worked with Google ads in the past, I've come to realize that there are always little changes and updates to be aware of. For example, Google has specific guidelines on how to use punctuation and capitalization in ad titles.
Managing these ads has presented a learning curve for me, but it has also taught me valuable lessons about tracking, click-through rates, and cost per click. Moreover, it has been a great opportunity for me to prepare for running my own ads and attracting customers to their businesses.
I am grateful to my friend for giving me this opportunity, as they understand that while I do have some experience, there is still room for growth and learning. I have offered them a favorable rate, and we have already started seeing conversions and people clicking through. However, now it's all about refining the process and building a strong customer base.
Through this experience, I want to encourage others to start at a base level and continue to refine their offerings as they progress. It's not necessary to know everything before getting started; the key is to do good work and continuously strive for improvement.
