Episode 276
Feel the ANXIETY, and move forward anyway.
You know that feeling you get where your hands are sweaty, you can't breathe very well, your your chest kind of feels compressed, and and you get a little bit panicky.
No? Is that only me?
Well, today I've got 3 things you can do if you're feeling that. Three things you can do to combat that and overcome it and how to pull through it.
In this episode, I dive into those common feeling of anxiety and panic that many of us experience at various points in our lives. The kind of anxiety that keeps us awake at night, wondering about the uncertainty of the future, especially in the realm of starting a business and the pressure to succeed to provide for ourselves and our loved ones. The fear of not reaching a certain level of success can be overwhelming, leading to a sense of helplessness and desperation.
To combat these intense feelings, I share three practical strategies that have helped me navigate through such challenging times.
The first step is turning to prayer, seeking guidance and strength from God when things seem out of control. By giving up some of the burden of control, and asking for help, you can find a sense of comfort and relief amidst the chaos.
Secondly, taking a deep breath and calming oneself down is crucial. By acknowledging that the worst-case scenario is not as catastrophic as it may seem, one can regain composure and clarity of thought. Deep breathing helps in centering oneself and focusing on the present moment rather than getting lost in a spiral of fear and negativity.
Lastly, focusing on taking the next right step, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, is vital. Progress is made one step at a time, even when the path ahead seems unclear. By continuously moving forward and staying proactive, one can slowly navigate through challenges and overcome obstacles with resilience and determination.
By implementing these three strategies – prayer, deep breathing, and taking the next right step – you can learn to manage your anxiety effectively and continue progressing towards your goals, even in the face of uncertainty and doubt. Remember, it's okay to feel anxious, but it's essential not to let that feeling paralyze you. Keep moving forward, seek support when needed, and trust that you have the strength within you to endure and thrive despite the obstacles in your way. Stay positive, stay persistent, and keep pushing forward.
